Ryazan treating plant ” OJSC is one of the eldest enterprises of this industry. The plant was built in 1880 by fon Mekk, the engineer, specifically for the construction of Moscow railroad. The plant passed through nationalization and evacuation to Omsk city during the Great Patriotic War as well as fire accident that nearly destructed it in 1970. But this disaster was the impulse for development of the enterprise. In the shortest time Ryazan treating plant was restored and new equipment was installed on it. This restoration as well as regularly scheduled modernization of the enterprise made the plant to be one of the largest and most powerful in Russia. At the present time the plant has the ability of treatment and shipment up to 160 thousand m 3 of wood per year. During the reformation period of the Ministry of Railways the plant was not included into the “Russian Railways” OJSC, and one of the first in Russia it became an independent enterprise operating in the market of wooden treated railroad tie. After all these tough times the enterprise has managed to adapt to the market economy. The new times dictate new approach to the
time the flexible and adequate marketing and sales policy. That’s why management of the enterprise bases their work on the adaptation and combination of the following basic principles:
-provision of traditional high quality products
-provision of stable operation of the company and the performance of their obligations for the supply of products to consumers
– the use of flexible pricing and marketing policy of the company in relation to customers
– the use of both traditional and the modern forms and methods of wood conservation
– introduction of the most modern technologies of production process and management of enterprise
Beside railroad ties, our enterprise produces antiseptic impregnated wooden POLES of electricity transmission line and telecommunication.
And Ryazan treating plant is the only enterprise in Russia, which implements treatment of ties and POLES both with oil-borne preservative and water based antiseptics (CCA, HM).
The quality of treatment is maintained at a persistently high level, and requirements for which are determined by applicable State standards (GOST) and regulations, and is confirmed by appropriate quality certificates, that allow the enterprise to deliver their products both to “Russian Railways” OJSC and “Holding MRSK” branches and also to Rostelecom subdivisions. In addition our plant actively supplies the entire range of its products for export both into the CIS countries and abroad.
